The reigning East Africa hockey champions showcased their dominance by sweeping titles in hockey, basketball, and handball, setting their sights on regional glory. St Joseph Girls Kitale sent a strong message to their rivals with a series of resounding victories in hockey. They began their campaign with a commanding 15-1 win over Wiyeta before thrashing St John's Sirende 14-0 in the group stages. The semifinals saw them dismantle St Marks 12-0 before capping off their dominance with a 5-0 victory over former East Africa champions Trans Nzoia Mixed in the final. Head coach John Lusaka hailed his team's impressive performance, expressing confidence in their ability to maintain their grip on regional hockey. "We prepared well for this tournament, and the results show that our hard work is paying off. Our goal is to retain our East Africa title, but first, we must conquer Rift Valley. We know competition will be stiff, but we are ready," Lusaka said. In basketball, St Joseph Girls, also known as JOGA, proved their mettle with a dominant semifinal performance, defeating St Monica 46-13. The final against St Brigid's was a more competitive affair, but JOGA held their nerve to claim a 38-29 victory, cementing their status as county champions. St Joseph Girls also stamped their authority in handball, bulldozing through their opponents in Pool D with massive wins, including a 28-5 triumph over Birbiriet and a 28-3 demolition of AIC Konoin. They continued their ruthless form in the quarterfinals, thrashing Njoro 35-5 before overpowering Andersen 36-19 in the semis. In the final, St Joseph Girls proved unstoppable, crushing Nabunga 36-12 to secure the county handball title. Their commanding performances have made them favorites for the Rift Valley regional competition. With their county titles secured, St Joseph Girls Kitale now turn their attention to the Rift Valley regional games, where they will seek to dominate once more. Their impressive depth across multiple disciplines signals their intent to remain a powerhouse in Kenyan school sports.
