Firms launch Sh52m jab, family planning project

A US based foundation, Pfizer, has partnered with World Vision to promote immunisation and family planning in West Pokot County.

The Sh52 million pilot project in South and Central Pokot sub-counties will be implemented in 18 months and targets over 30,763 women in reproductive age and 10,256 children under five years.

Speaking in Kapenguria during the launch, Manager Estherlina Moseti said they chose Pokot since fertility rate stands at 7.2 percent and it had low immunisation programmes. -Irissheel Shanzu
