The launch of veteran journalist Susan Kasera’s memoir, Tomorrow the Sun Will Rise Again, at the Kenya National Library became more than a literary celebration. It opened an emotional conversation about a largely overlooked group in Kenya’s battle against substance abuse: the caregivers.

The event brought together veteran and young journalists, publishers, policymakers, professionals and families whose lives have been touched by addiction.
