William Ruto's lawyer ‘not referring to me’

By NIKKO TANUI

Deputy President William Ruto lead counsel Karim Khan has been asked to provide full identification details of the individuals who he claimed collaborated with former US envoy Michael Ranneberger to ‘fix’ Ruto.

Thomas Kipkemoi Ngetich, a Marakwet West constituency Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission official from Kericho County, who shares a name with one of the individuals Khan claimed worked through USAID to procure witnesses to testify against Ruto at The Hague, said the news had led him to suffer mental anguish as people viewed him with suspicion.

Khan made the disclosure during the cross-examination of witness 356.

“Khan should give the full identification details about the Thomas Ngetich he is talking about and end this speculation once and for all,” Ngetich, 45, told the press in Kericho town, yesterday.
