Appeal Court throws out Karua’s bid to introduce new evidence in petition against Waiguru

Former parliamentarian Martha Karua has yet again suffered a major setback in her appeal today when the Court of Appeal refused her application to adduce new evidence in the appeal.

Karua had alleged that the evidence was contained in a flash disk which she alleged had been wrongly refused to show by the lower court.

In rejecting her application, the Appeals Court sitting in Nairobi decided that it would be prejudicial to the main appeal if they allowed her application.

The main appeal will now be heard on October 1, by judges Roselyn Nambuye, Hannah Okwengu and Steve Kairu.
