Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere says poll chaos investigations by police were not linked to the deferral of Hague trials.

In an interview yesterday, Iteere, however, confirmed the police were investigating crimes related to post-election to arrest and charge those involved.

"I would like to bring to your notice that police have never stopped investigation into the chaos since the violence occurred in 2008," said the commissioner.

He added the probe was not linked to the deferral of ICC cases against the six ICC suspects but was an effort to ensure victims get justice.

Iteere added the police had completed many cases involving the skirmishes while others were in various stages of investigation.

"Police have been carrying out investigation since the skirmishes took place and we have arrested and arraigned many people in court. We are determined to bring all the perpetrators to book," said Iteere.
