The University of Eldoret recognized Kipyegon's extraordinary achievements, particularly her dominance in the 1,500 meters. These include three Olympic gold medals in the 1,500m, three world records, and a series of remarkable victories at international events. Kipyegon's accolades in 2024 added another historic chapter to her career. She became the first athlete to win three Olympic gold medals in the 1,500m, further solidifying her place among the greatest athletes in history. In addition, she broke world records in the 1,500m and the Mile in just 49 days during the 2023 season.
