The fourth edition of the Eldoret City Marathon kicked off today in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. The 42 km women's race began at 7 am at the University of Eldoret after all the major roads which were to be used by the athletes were blocked. The men's race began 30 minutes later.
More than 500 elite and budding athletes participated in the prestigious marathon.
