The government has yielded to pressure and implemented a 15 per cent cut on the cost of electricity. This is in line with a directive issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta when he addressed Kenyans on Jamhuri Day, when he ordered the electricity sector agencies to reduce the cost of power by 15 per cent by the end of December.
