Foreign contractors will only be licensed to perform the specific task that brought them to the country after submitting an affidavit of no intention to set up a business, the State has directed.

In a list of stringent requirements released by the National Construction Authority, accreditation for foreign contractors will be pegged on the task they perform, duration of stay, and proof that once the works are done the company will pack and leave.

Many foreign contractors are streaming into the country to carry out development projects.
