Garissa contractors put on notice over shoddy work

Kenya: Road contractors who fleece the government of billions of shillings through shoddy work will be blacklisted, Garissa County government has warned. Deputy Governor Abdullahi Hussein (pictured)says contractors who will not adhere to the specifications in the Bills of Quantities (BQs) will not be paid, and risk losing business with the county.

Speaking while on tour to monitor development projects in seven sub-counties, Hussein said contractors must give the public value for money.
