The United Republican Party (URP) and the Progressive Party of Kenya (PPK) have applied for full registration at the office of registrar of political parties.

Legislators William Ruto, Adan Duale and Cyrus Jirongo led other URP officials in presenting its party membership list as the party seeks to comply with the political parties act.

URP’s Chairman Francis ole Kaparo announced that the party would be holding its grass root elections in the next two months if the registrar approves the registration within the next thirty days.

Moses Akaranga on the other hand steered PPK in presenting its papers and boasted of having registered more than a thousand members in each if the fourty seven counties.
