Sachangwan tragedy:Ten perish as Crown Bus collides with trailer

Ten people have been confirmed dead and 29 injured after a Crown bus headed to Malaba collided with a trailer at Sachangwan along Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

The Accident occured at 2.45am today and the injured have been rushed to hospitals in Nakuru.

Rescue operations at the scene are being led by Deputy Rift Valley Province Police boss Elias Oduori and Traffic Enforcement Officer, Mary Omar. 

A soldier attached to 77 Artillery Battalion has been identified among the dead.

Eight bodies still at the scene and two bodies at the Rift Valley Provincial hospital.

At the provincial hospital, most of the injured have been treated and discharged but nine have been admitted. One of the seriously injured has been taken to theatre for surgery.
