It was song and dance when Jacaranda Darts Club won the first leg of Nakuru County Darts League Championships hosted at their backyard over the weekend.
This was after the club's teams won both men and mixed doubles for them to earn maximum points in the 12-team-two-day-competition.
The pair of national champion Millicent Wangui and James Ndichu had a straight 5-0 win over the pair of Ednah Makori and Julius Ndung'u of Club 5 in Bahati in the best of five in the nine-round-match.
"We concentrated well in scoring and composure both in the mixed singles and men doubles, which made us easily win the first match hence increasing our morale ahead of the second one," Wangui told Standard Sports.
She said all matches from the group matches were highly competitive.

And the pair of Felix Kirwa and James Ndichu of Jacaranda were made to fight before overcoming the stiff opposition of Felix 'Mzae' Mwaura and Samuel Waithaka of Njoro to win 8-6 in the best of eight in the 15-round match.
At the end of it, three darters stood tall in the three-day-competition.
They were Wangui, Ndichu and Kirwa, all players of the hosting club.
Chief hosting coordinator Simon Muhia said the second leg of the league championships will still be hosted at the same venue next month.
"The first leg of the league has been successfully and the second one will still be held here next month. We appeal for a better turnout next month," he said.
A total of 12 teams took part in the event.
