Stop abusive language, Archbishop tells leaders

By Augustine Odour

Anglican Archbishop Eliud Wabukala has asked leaders to stop using abusive language and focus on implementation of the new laws. The prelate said it was wrong for leaders to abuse their powers by engaging in public spats.

"This is not the leadership we are talking about. We want to see leaders speak in one voice and focus especially on implementation of the new laws," he said yesterday after launching a report by the Youth Agenda in Nairobi.

Wabukala said it was too early to engage in campaigns and asked leaders to put Kenyans interests first. "There are many issues at hand. Why do they waste time attacking each other when there are many unfinished and important business?" he said.
