Help us find our son, family pleads

By STANDARD REPORTER

Travelling is supposed to be fun and a chance at reunion, especially for family members who live miles apart.

But one such family is in great distress after one of their son disappeared mysteriously on a bus heading to Kisumu from Nairobi.

Richard Ayisi Buchere, 13, a Standard Seven pupil at Imalaba Primary School in Eregi was travelling with his younger brother to reunite with their father, David Buchere on June 8.

But on reaching Kisumu, the younger brother could not trace his sibling. He went back to Nairobi and told his father Ayisi was missing.

When he called home, Mr Buchere was distraught on being informed by his wife that she had dispatched their two sons.

The mother reported the disappearance at Kilingili Police Station, while the father went to Buruburu Police Station.

The parent then set on a tour of all major towns between the 450km stretch in search of their son.

"We have been to nearly all towns since he disappeared. We have searched in hospitals and even mortuaries but nobody seems to have seen our son. We are now appealing to any Good Samaritan who may have seen the boy to contact us," said Buchere yesterday.
