According to UK media outlet, Chronicle live, police officers caught up with Mo Farah and fellow Olympian David Rudisha training on the Quayside in Newcastle, and decided to pull the prank.

Mo Farah and Rudisha were released shortly after the prank as police claimed they were released due to lack of evidence after a brief chat in the back of our police car.

The two Olympians are set to participate in the UK’s Great North Run marathon that is supposed to take place this weekend.
