Soldier lucky escape after throwing grenade right in front of him

China: This is the heart-stopping moment a solider dropped a live grenade just centimetres from where he was standing - with only seconds to get out of the way.

According to LiveLeak, the man was training with the 26th Army artillery unit in China when he failed to throw the grenade properly.

After an attempt to launch the ammunition over a low wall, the soldier threw the grenade at a nearby rocky cliff before it bounced back to where he stood with his training partner.

Thankfully, his fellow soldier's lightening quick reaction saved the man, as he pulled him backwards into a nearby bunker.

Barely a second later, the grenade explodes, leaving a cloud of black smoke in its wake.

The clip, uploaded by Lake8737, was uploaded to the viral video site just 24 hours ago, and has been viewed over 88,000 times.
