A Turkish Airlines plane arrived at the Kabul International Airport on Tuesday morning, as the national flag carrier of Turkiye resumed its flights to Afghanistan following almost three years of suspension.
Welcoming the step as a sign of friendly development in bilateral relations, Ghulam Jilani Wafa, a senior advisor for the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, said he hopes more airliners could resume flights to Kabul as the airport has met international standards.
