Ruto to unveil key project in Kericho as he tours the region

President William Ruto will today visit Kericho to unveil several development projects spanning across Belgut, Ainamoi and Kipkelion East constituencies.

Senate Leader of Majority Aaron Cheruiyot said the projects include investments in infrastructure and socio-economic development within the region.

Ruto will commence the tour by inaugurating the Belgut Technical Training Institute Digital Hub, alongside the upgrading of the Kapsuser-Sosiot road to bitumen standard.

“These initiatives signify a commitment to fostering technological advancement and improving transport networks, essential for regional progress,” said Cheruiyot.

The affordable housing project at Majengo area is ready for commissioning and consists of 320 units of one-bedroom houses and two and three-bedroom houses. Mr Kenneth Owigo, the contractor and Head of Projects for PADAA Enterprises Limited assured that the project has been executed as required. "The construction of the 320 units consists of one-bedroom houses, two and three-bedroom houses. In addition, shops will also be built,” said Owigo.

In Ainamoi constituency, the President will unveil construction of 1,000 affordable housing units in Majengo. In Kipkelion East Constituency, President Ruto will launch construction of the Chepseon Modern Market and oversee the reconstruction of Chepseon-Mile Nne road.

“These endeavours are expected to catalyse economic growth and invigorate commercial activities, laying the groundwork for sustainable development,” said Kipkelion East MP Joseph Cherorot.
