Over 140 golfers will be stretching their muscles around the breath taking Mount Kenya in the 4th leg of the ongoing 8th Edition of the King of the Lion golf series to be played this Saturday at the nine hole par 72 Nanyuki Sports Club course off Nanyuki Meru Road, Laikipia East, in Central Kenya.

The event that tees off from 6.30am follows the resounding success of earlier legs in Machakos, Thika, Greens, and Ruiru, marking a significant milestone in the 2024 series supported by ICEA LION.

Club Captain Anthony Rukwaro said that this edition that promises an unparalleled golfing experience featuring participants from across Kenya will be competitive in a welcoming atmosphere for all

attendees.

“The Club course is in pristine condition, with state of the-art facilities, exceptional cuisine, and a warm reception, all under the picturesque gaze of Mt. Kenya and hope all the golfers will have a memorable and enjoyable time here, “said Rukwaro.

ICEA Lion King of the course Captain Joe Mboya said that so far the series has been going on well with the highlight being the commitment to promoting golfing talent by emphasizing the inclusivity of involving junior golfers.

“The Grand Winner of the 2023 series will be participating in the prestigious 2024 Lekoa Classic in South Africa, showcasing the global opportunities afforded to competitors, “said Mboya.

The 2024 series started off on a high note in Machakos on January 6th, and after Nanyuki it will head north to Eldoret Sports Club in May for a curtain raising club nite before landing at Nandi Bears Club on the following day.

The Grand Winner of the 2023 series is scheduled to participate in 2024 Lekoa Classic on April 26th and 27th at Parys Golf  and Country Estate-Vaal De Grace, in South Africa.
