Kakamega locals are having their fingers crossed, hoping King Charles III revises his diary to visit the country's only tropical rain forest, where his mother, Queen Elizabeth, not only visited, but also hugged and kissed an iconic Elgon Teak tree.
They fear the King, who is on a historic visit to the country, could 'regrettably miss out' on the sparking features of the forest, a remnant of the Guineo-Congolian rainforest, famed for rare bird species, indigenous trees, primates and snakes.
