Armed bandits raided Githima village in Ol Moran, Laikipia County, and shot a grade three pupil before making away with over 200 sheep.

This came barely hours after they shot two people at Posta and Naibor on Friday evening.

The armed bandits attacked the village and terrorised residents before driving off the livestock towards Baringo County.

Ol Moran Health Centre Deputy-in-Charge Dr Erastus Mburu said the pupil suffered a gunshot wound in the thigh and luckily the bullet did not touch the bone.

Githima area chief Peter Wachiuri said the incident followed a series of attacks in neighbouring villages of Survey, Magadi, Posta and Naibor.
