Vihiga Queens continue to reap big opportunities from the recent assignment of CAF Women Champions League zonal Qualifiers CECAFA and TotalEnergies CAF Women's Championship League in Nairobi Kenya and Cairo Egypt.

This is after Queens lethal striker Jentrix Milimu Shikangwa got a signing with Turkish top-flight club Fatih Karagumruk Sportif Faaliyetler San Tic A.S. Club.

Confirming the development, Vihiga Queens Executive Committee said Shikangwa is set to leave the country on January 23, 2022.

"The Executive Committee of Vihiga Queens Football Club is proud to announce that our lethal striker Jentrix Milimu Shikangwa is set to travel to Turkey to join Fatih Karagumruk Sportif Faaliyetler San Tic A.S. Club that plays in Turkish top division. As Vihiga, we shall forever be grateful to Jentrix for her service to our club," reads part of the statement.

Shikangwa emerged as the most valuable player during the CAF WLC CECAFA zonal qualifier in Nairobi after scoring the winning goal which earned the Queens a ticket to represent the region in the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Championship League that was played in Cairo, Egypt. Shikangwa on her Facebook account replied with three words, "Is God's doing."

Shikangwa's milestone comes a week after another dependable goalkeeper Lilian Awuor left Vihiga Queens for ASJ Soyaux Charente Association, Sportive, a first tier club in Paris, France.
