A Form Three girl died on Thursday while a rider and another passenger are fighting for their lives at Embu Level Five Hospital after an accident.

Eyewitnesses said the rider carrying two passengers was in a procession headed to the burial of one of the boda boda riders who was murdered last week.

Martin Muchira, the Eastern region boda boda operators chair said the motorcycle was being ridden by a Form Two student.

"The boy took his brother's motorbike and joined the funeral procession," said Muchira.

He cautioned underage youth against riding bikes without necessary training.

Samuel Gitau, the deputy police commander at Embu West sub-County said the rider hit a bump near Embu College while coming from Blue Valley Estate and heading towards Embu town.
