Homa Bay: New Sh91 million ICU and blood bank opened

The health sector in Homa Bay County has received a major boost with the establishment of two medical facilities worth Sh91.8 million.

The county has opened an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) worth Sh55.8 million and a satellite blood bank valued at Sh36 million at the Homa Bay County Referral Hospital. Governor Cyprian Awiti said the facilities are now in operation after they were launched by Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman last week.
