Zari Hassan’s tribute to late hubby Ivan Ssemwanga on his third anniversary

Zarinah Hassan, commonly known as Zari Hassan has eulogized her late ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga as the greatest of all. In an emotional post, the mother of five admitted that life has never been the same since Ivan departed three years ago. Celebrating his third death anniversary, Zari said that Ivan left a huge gap that will never be filled.

“You still the G.O.A.T even after three years of your passing. The game has never been the same since you left, December's are no longer the same, obubalaza here in SA ain’t the same, pop bottle games not the same, your giving heart was never matched,” she wrote.

While at it, the 39-year-old social media personality took a swipe at people she claimed to be working hard to outshine Ivan’s philanthropic legacy.

“You were the 'UN office for all'. Everyone else is just clowning or chasing clout. Your shoes are too big to fit/fill. Continue resting in peace champ, three years already but it seems like yesterday. We love you and miss you always.”

Ivan, who is the father of Zari Hassan's first three children died in May 2017 after suffering a stroke and went into a coma for two weeks. Zari, who was had moved on with Tanzanian star Diamond Platinumz, announced the passing of Ivan on her Instagram page, describing it as the darkest hour of her life.

"God loves those that are special and that's exactly who you were and I guess that's why he wanted you to himself. You have touched and helped thousands, you did wonders and I remember you telling me "life is too short let me live it to the fullest", this very dark hour it makes sense why you always said those words to me,” read part of her message.

Zari was accused by her in-laws of sending Ivan to an early grave through depression. The head of Ivan’s family Herbert Luyinda alluded that ever since the two separated, Ivan was never the same and he fell into depression upon learning that Zari was pregnant and engaged to Diamond.

“As a family, we have no doubt that Zari is the cause of Ivan’s suffering that led him to die. Ever since the two separated, Ivan has never been the same. Our son loved that woman so much. He took care of her in all situations but Zari with her bad manners decided to dump him for Diamond. This dis-organized him so much. He started developing hardships in his heath” Luyinda said in a 2017 interview.

However, it seems that they settled their scores just four months ago when Zari’s eldest son Pinto Ntale was named the official heir of Ivan’s properties.
