This sauce is pronounced “woo-stuh-sher” but spelt Worcestershire (created in the city of Worcester in Worcestershire, England) -- but thank heavens for its shortened name -- Worcester sauce (pronounced ‘woo-stuh’).

This sauce is a fermented condiment made of vinegar and flavoured with molasses, onion, garlic, anchovies, tamarind and other seasoning to create a sweet, savoury and tangy flavour.
