South Rift stars land slots in national schools

Top candidates in the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam in the South Rift region have landed slots at some of the country's most prestigious schools.

Private schools in the region will send a huge chunk of their stars to Alliance, Kenya High, Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls, and Kapsabet Boys national schools. 

In Nakuru, Nyongesa Precious Nakhumincha who scored 436 marks from Gilgil Hills Academy secured a slot at Alliance Girls while Odero Michael who scored 433 from the same school was picked to join Alliance High School.

Njenga Esther Nyakweya from Moi Primary School Kabarak secured a slot at Alliance Girls, as did Naomy Nyakerario.

The top boy in the school, Asaph Kibiwott, will also join Alliance High School together with Kipngeno Michael.

Alicia Joy Wambui from Sun and Shield who got 426 marks will join Alliance Girls while her former classmate Kevin Kipchirchir who scored 420 has been offered a place at Kapsabet Boys. Faith Rotich who scored 424 will join Nakuru Girls.

St Peter’s Elite School in Gilgil is also sending its top girl Susan Wambui, who scored 429 marks, and Ednah Wanjiku with 424 to Alliance Girls. Simon Njagi who scored 427 secured a place at Alliance Boys together with Elisa Ketuiyo who had 426 marks. Tracy Gitau joins Pangani Girls.

Emmanuel Njeru who scored 427 marks from Excel Academy will join Kapsabet Boys while Lewis Githinji with 419 will, together with Sammy Karani (409), join Kagumo Boys High School.

In Kericho County, top candidates, including Brian Kibet of Grace Academy-Kapsuter who scored 431 marks, will join Kapsabet Boys while Angela Chepngeno from Kericho Primary will join Alliance Girls.

Kericho shines too

Isaac Kipkoech who scored 430 marks from Progressive Chepchep was slotted into Kapsabet Boys, as will Larry Chrisperus Kiprono from Holly Trinity with 426.

Alice Nyanchoka from Utafiti Primary in Kericho with 421 marks will join Starehe Girls together with Victoria Chebet from Sally Ann Academy, while Ian Kiplangat from Utafiti Primary who scored 418 will join Alliance High School.

In Bomet County, Rahab Chepchirchir from Zasa Academy who scored 427 will join Kenya High School, Duncan Kipkoech from Royal Top Mark Academy (422) will join Maranda High School as Gloria Chemutai, also of Royal Top Mark (418) goes to Pangani Girls.

In Narok County, top candidates, among them Faith Chepkoech who scored 430 from Blessed Academy, will join Pangani Girls, Elvis Mweya (425) goes to Mang’u High School and Paul Keremba got a place in Maranda High School.

Deborah Teiyaa from Narok County Academy will join Alliance Girls while Naneu Lilian and Dennis Lemaiyan from the same school will go to Kipsigis Girls and Maseno School, respectively.
