Amani Nation al Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has begun a marathon tour of the United States of America.

During his visit, Mudavadi is expected to meet Kenyans in various cities to market his presidential candidature and to listen to their concerns about the country ahead of the 2022 General Election.

Mudavadi arrived in Boston yesterday afternoon accompanied by Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi, Nambale MP Bunyasi Sakwa and former Lamu Governor Issa Timamy among other leaders.

Also on the delegation is a team of his strategists for his presidential bid including party Secretary General Barrack Muluka.

Mudavadi is today scheduled to give a public lecture on the impact and implications of terrorism in Kenya and East Africa and how to counter it.

According to Agoi, the ANC leader will also meet investors in Springfield, Illinois and New York ahead of a diaspora conference this weekend in New Jersey where he is listed as a keynote speaker.

"Mudavadi will have several meetings during is two-week tour in the US, as part of the 2022 presidential election preparation," said Agoi.

He said that after the US trip, Mudavadi will continue with his meet-the-people tour of all the 47 counties.

He said for Mudavadi, Kenyans in the diaspora play a key role in the country’s development with Central Bank figures indicating that over Sh200 billion is injected into the Kenyan economy annually through remittances from the Kenyans diaspora.
