Japan court to rule in only Fukushima criminal case

More than eight years after the Fukushima nuclear disaster, a Japanese court will rule Thursday on the only criminal prosecution stemming from the worst nuclear accident in decades.

Three former executives from Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), the firm that operated the Fukushima plant, face up to five years in prison if convicted of professional negligence resulting in death and injury.
