Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko caused a stir at a Nakuru hotel on Sunday morning after he reportedly forced those serving him breakfast to taste it before he could eat.

Sonko who spent last night at the four-star hotel after a visit to the region left the hotel staff and manager in shock when insisted that they first taste the food served to him before he could eat.

“The hotel chef and manager had to take two mouthfuls in front of him before to confirm the food was safe,” said one of the clients who witnessed the drama.

Earlier,  the governor in a show of might, checked at the hotel whith a huge motorcade that that became the talk of town.

Sonko's motorcade was like a president's convoy led by a Mercedes Benz chase with county government registration number and police lights mounted on top in total resemblance to police chase cars.

The convoy consisted of four fuel guzzlers-two Landcruiser V8s, a Lexus LX 570 and a Nissan Patrol Platinum V8 followed by four other off-road pickups mounted with public address systems.

Also shocking was the presence of a mini-fire engine belonging to the Nairobi County Government.

“Why does he have to travel with a fire engine in tow? This man is enjoying life. I hope these are not taxpayers’ money,” said another client.

It is from the hotel that Sonko launched a scathing attack on Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura and Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo on his Facebook account.

The governor dismissed the two leaders for claiming he was seeking political mileage when he disclosed that the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s had a secret family with a nominated MCA.

“If speaking the truth is what you call political Bonga points, let it be. This habit we leaders have of having extramarital affairs and once the women are pregnant we disown them must come must stop,” Sonko posted.

He defended his actions at Okoth’s memorial service saying “We must speak for the many voiceless women including orphans, widows, divorcees, single mothers and the so-called slay queens,” he wrote.

He criticised male leaders who fail to use protection to prevent ‘unwanted pregnancies.’

“Why leave an innocent angel of God suffering? If you can’t use protection, then stick to your wife at home,” he posed.

Sonko said Mwaura and the Suba North MP had no moral authority to lecture anyone of family matters based on their family feuds and character.

The governor gave out two telephone numbers for women with children neglected by politicians to ‘report’ and expose them.

He added that those with complaints should share the full names, photos, and videos of their happy moments.

“From today all great women of this country, if there is an MP, Senator, Governor, civil servant or businessman who has impregnated you and denied responsibility send me the details we expose him and force for DNA tests when he’s still alive,” he posted.

His post immediately went viral with thousands of likes and comments, most Kenyans supporting his actions and naming deadbeat politicians on his page.
