KP Board offers over Sh300million to suspended managers to retire

Benson Muriithi Stanley Mutwiri, Samuel Ndirangu, Abubakar Swaleh, Joshua Mutua, Pk Mungai, Ken Tarus and Kenya Power CEO Ben Chumo in the dock at the Milimani law courts on suspicion of committing an economic crime and abuse of office.

Seventeen top Kenya Power (KP) managers on suspension have been offered Sh300 million to voluntarily terminate their contracts.

The managers, who are fighting graft charges in court, have each been offered between Sh16 million and Sh21 million, tax free. The company has offered to bear all tax costs.
