Nameless sparks the airwaves with Megarider

One of Kenya’s iconic and most consistent artiste, Nameless has released a remix to the song that started it all, Megarider. The new jam, which dropped on yesternight features Khaligraph Jones, a leading hip-hop star and award-winner who is part of the new breed of artistes taking the game by the storm.

Megarider, which Nameless sang over the phone to win a radio talent show on Capital FM, was all about the daily life of a university student trying to get by. The song was produced by Tedd Josiah, who was by then a big name as a sound engineer, the man behind Hardstone and Kalamashaka. The new jam dropped on the 20th anniversary of Nameless’ stay in the game, which has produced hits like Boomba Train with the late E-Sir, Ninanoki with Amani, and current jams like InspireVoloyoom and  Your Lover.

Speaking on Cleaning the Airwaves, a Youtube channel by A-Star, Nameless explained that he was going through a rough patch when he participated in the talent search, hosted by Muthoni Bwika and featuring Tedd Josiah as a judge.

‘I’m from a different time I’m from the pioneer era/ Kabla ya Facebook, Intsgram kabla ya hio Twitter’ Nameless sings on Megarider remix, which was done by Cedo.
