Why DPP wants Shinyalu MP record statement

Shinyalu Mp Justus Kizito to be investigated over Sh2m 20/06/18 [Boniface Okendo,Standard]

The Director of Public Prosecutions has directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to summon Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito to record statement over claims of loss of funds.

In a letter to the County Criminal Investigations Officer (CCIO), the DPP noted it is possible that over Sh2 million from the National Government Constituency Development Fund may have been lost through dubious payments.

Western Regional Senior DPP Patrick Gumo has further ordered that CDF clerk, Charles Namunyu, records a statement into claims that money sent to two schools was irregularly paid.

The schools are said to have received Sh1 million each for construction of two classrooms and pit latrines.

When reached for comment, Mr Kizito said he had not been served with summons.
