DCI orders investigations into university student beaten by colleagues over girlfriend

Kindly advise the victim to make a formal report at his nearest Police Station and then share the OB number with us. We will ensure that Justice is served," said a tweet by the DCI. The student has since recorded a statement at Makupa police station and has already shared his OB number on twitter. Early this year a student at St Joseph's Nyabigena Secondary in Gucha South Kisii died under unclear circumstances after being beaten by a prefect.
SEE ALSO :Fake gold probe on, says DCIAccording to sources in the school, the student collapsed and died after he was slapped severally by the said prefect who was a form four student. "The deceased was reading a Bible some few minutes to 7am. The prefect came in and after an altercation with the deceased he slapped and kicked him on the stomach after which he immediately collapsed," said one of the students.
