Family loses three generations in Ethiopian Airline crash

It is an emotional moment for a family in Canada after three generations of its members perished on Sunday's Ethiopian plane crash, that claimed the lives of 157 including 32 Kenyans.

Brampton family, Prerit Dixit, 43, his parents and Kosha Vaidya, 37, with their two daughters Ashka, 14 and Anushka Dixit, 13, were heading to Kenya where Ms vaidya was to introduce her daughters to her birthplace. She was also accompanied by her parents Pannagesh Vaidya, 73, and Hansini, 67, who also died.

The family of seven were among the 18 Canadian nationals who lost their lives in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.

According to a family member, Premal Vyas, who spoke to The Globe and Mail, Ms vaidya who was born in Mombasa was supposedly poised for her first visit in decades.

The family is reportedly embroiled in distress and are unable to make burial arrangements.

Others who perished included:  USA (8), Egypt (6), China (8), Ethiopia (9), Netherlands (5), UK (7), Russia (3), France (7), Italy (8).

Investigations into what caused the accident is still ongoing with remains of those who died, being preserved at the Menelik Hospital in Addis Ababa.
