Court orders chief land registrar to file report on Isiolo land titling

The High Court in Meru has ordered the Chief Lands Registrar to file a status report on the expedited titling of land in Isiolo town.

And a picture of the chaotic land adjudication and titling in the township emerged when four cases came up before Justice Lucy Mbugua sitting at the Land and Environment Court in Meru town.

Justice Mbugua agreed with the State which is represented by litigation counsel Janet Kungu that all the matters involving land ownership in Isiolo township be consolidated into one case.

The judge fixed hearing on March 20.
