African leaders condole with families affected by Dusit Hotel terror attack

Leaders across the globe have continued to send messages of condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the Dusit D2 Hotel terror attack that happened on Tuesday, January 15.

Rwandese President Paul Kagame said “My thoughts and prayers are with our Kenyan brothers and sisters, and all those affected by the reprehensible terrorist attack in Nairobi. Poleni sana kwa msiba huu. Rwanda and Africa stand in solidarity with Kenya in the fight against terror,” Kagame said.

President Farmaajo’s telephones Uhuru, vows to Crash Al-Shabab after attack on Nairobi

Somali President Mohamed Farmaajo said he telephoned President Uhuru Kenyatta over Dusit attack and assured him of his government is ready to cooperate with Kenya to eliminate terrorism.

Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania, Job Ndugai, expressed his sympathies to the families of the victims of the Riverside attack.

Speaking when he hosted the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi who had paid him a courtesy call yesterday at the Parliament Office in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Ndugai said that Tanzania stood alongside other friends of Kenya in condemning the Tuesday attack.

“We share with you our esteemed neighbours the pain caused by this heinous act and wish to express our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish those who were injured a quick recovery. We stand in solidarity with you during this moment,” Ndugai said.

Muturi informed Ndugai that Kenya's security agencies had managed the situation quite exemplary, noting that though a total of 21 lives had been lost in the ordeal, security officers had saved well over 700 lives.

On Wednesday, Tanzanian President, Dr John Joseph Magufuli condoled with Uhuru, and pledged his support and that of the People of Tanzania during this mourning period.
