Real Madrid are set to be given the green light to redevelop the Bernabeu in a £350million overhaul.

The Spanish giants originally unveiled the plans to transform their stadium four years ago, but the bid hit the buffers.

However, it is being claimed by Marca that key shareholders are finally set to rubber-stamp the project when it is presented on Sunday.

It is reported that the European champions will stick with the 80,000 capacity, with the focus on modernising the ground instead.

The new-look stadium will feature a removable roof, along with a 360-degree video screen, with shopping facilities also around the ground.

Club chiefs will discuss the plans and budget for the current campaign at the weekend, but the rebuild is expected to cost more than £350m.

However, the club is yet to secure a sponsor, with naming rights likely to raise significant funds for the project.
