StarTimes set to air all 64 World Cup matches in Russia

Pay TV provider StarTimes has promised subscribers unmatched 2018 World Cup Russia experience.

StarTimes which is set to broadcast all the 64 matches has dedicated five channels to the Russian bonanza, three of them in High Definition (HD).

These include World Football (HD), Sports Premium (HD), Spots Arena (HD), Sports Focus and Sports Life. The channels will have additional offerings including multi-language commentary in English, Swahili and French.

In addition to the Live matches, there will be seven tailor-made World Cup programmes, 64 studio shows and more than 770 hours of related programming.

Speaking during the launch on Thursday night at a Nairobi hotel, StarTimes Chief Executive Officer David Zhang promised subscribers best World Cup coverage.

“We are promising to give our subscribers the best front-row experience of the World Cup right from the first match to the final. This is the best moment for us to show our commitment to deliver outstanding build ups, match analysis and live broadcast of the most prestigious sport event,” said Zhang.

Kenyan Premier League Chairman Ambrose Rachier congratulated StarTimes for bringing the World Cup experience close to Kenyans.
