Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia defied all the odds to hold to dump South African side Supersport United out of the Caf Confederations Cup at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in South Africa.

K’Ogalo stood the test and passed it successfully despite losing 2-1; with their qualification being based on away goal out of 2-2 aggregate.

Gor skipper Harun Shakava accidentally knocked the ball onto his net, before Francis Kahata would pull one for the visitors to cancel the own goal scored by teammate.

The hosts later scored in the 68th minute through Thabo Mnyamane but his efforts could not propel them to success. K’Ogalo went into the fixture without two of their best players in Ephrem Guikan and Jacques Tuyisenge, who failed to travel due to snags related to travel documents.
