John James scored four goals for the winners as teammates George Otieno and Kevin Otieno added one each. Fredrick Ochieng’ and Jonathan Kyalo scored the consolation goals for the losers. In their second match, Nyanza walloped Coast 8-0 after a 4-0 lead at the break. On their part, Western picked a slim 6-5 victory against Rift Valley.
