Members of the county assembly were on Monday involved in a scuffle that nearly degenerated into a physical altercation as they tried to reconstitute House committees.

The MCAs, who were in an informal meeting, became rowdy after their attempts to change the leadership of the committees faced opposition from some of the nominated members.

According to one of the MCAs, who out of fear of victimisation refused to be named, the members presented a fresh list of committee members which excluded some of the nominated members.

This happened after the county integrated development plan, which lists all the projects to be undertaken in the next five years, was tabled.
