Former AC Milan midfielder Robinho has announced his plans to hang his boots come the beginning of 2018, an Indian media outlet has revealed. Robinho who was convicted of rape by the Italian court has been under immense pressure following the court verdict which has appealed.

Despite being declared guilty, the former Manchester city star will not be jailed or fined until the appeal process is completed.

The football star is also riding on the fact that Brazilian laws do not support any extradition of citizens so that they can be tried in a foreign country.

He has since announced his plans not to renew his contract with the Brazilian premier outfit Atletico Mineiro. The Brazilian policy therefore implies that he cannot travel to any country for fear of being arrested.

Robinho played for AC Milan where he and Zlatan Ibrahimovic came up with a deadly partnership that revived the sting of the Italian giants.
