South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) has formally selected the two contenders to succeed President Jacob Zuma as the party's leader, who include the Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and former cabinet minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Mr Zuma's ex-wife.
Candidates were also nominated for five other leading party positions.
