Didier Drogba has left fans stunned with his dramatic new look. The Ivorian, 39, is still playing with USL side Phoenix Rising but plans to retire at the end of the season to focus on other projects

Chelsea legend Drogba has enjoyed an incredible career and helped the Blues win four Premier League titles

He also famously scored the winning penalty in their Champions League final victory in 2012.

Drogba's playing days will soon be over but before he hangs up his boots, he has decided it is time for a change.

The striker uploaded an image to social media on Friday night after completely shaving off his slick locks.

And he had a good reason to pick the date.

"15/12/2000 was the Beginning, 15/12/2017 Born is the new Me," he tweeted.

But some fans couldn't quite believe what they were seeing - with many disappointed his distinguished look had gone.

One fan joked that Eden Harzard has now surpassed the Ivorian in the pecking order of legendary status at the London club after he dropped his trade mark long hair. Another joked that Drogba resembles American talk show icon Oprah Winfrey. Nonetheless, there are those who felt that the former Blues striker looked better with his new bald look.
