Kenya's nuclear plant roll-out set for 2027

Kenya plans to start operating its first nuclear power plant in 2027, the Kenya Nuclear Electricity Board (KNEB) has said.

The agency, which is domiciled at the Ministry of Energy, said yesterday it was doing groundwork, including putting in place a regulatory framework that will enable the country to pursue nuclear energy.
