Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League Zone B side Vihiga Queens are inching closer to the second consecutive national play-offs, with two matches left.

The Queens qualified for the play-offs in their first year in the top-flight league last season, but lost 2-0 to two-time defending champions Thika Queens.

The Vihiga County-sponsored side must win their penultimate fixture against Wadadia at Mumias Complex on Sunday to land the top spot.

Currently, Queens are at the top of the table standings with 27 points from 10 rounds of matches, same as their closest rivals, Naivasha-based Oserian Ladies, who have a match in hand.

If Queens lose to Wadadia, the top position will be decided during the final match against hosts Oserian.

Oserian defeated Queens 1-0 in the first leg.
