After rumours surfaced that Kenyan football legend Dennis Oliech was going through a hard time, former Harambee Stars coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulei has come out to defend the former international playmaker.
Speaking to a local daily, Ghost Mulei stated that the story out of the photo that had depicted Oliech in a bad state was not true.
The former Harambee star’s coach stated that the impression people had on Oliech was false and that he was proud of the striker who driven the national team to great heights during his hey days.
“Looks are deceptive. I’m still proud of my Captain Dennis Oliech. This all points to how people look at à glass, some see it half full while some see it half empty,” said Mulei.
In the photograph, Oliech is seen having unkempt facial hair, dry lips and a rather leaner frame.
The photo, which was posted by Ghost Mulei has left many wondering what happened to Oliech, once the richest footballer in Kenya.
The photo was taken at the Koroga Festival held at Carnivore Grounds on October 1st.
